Entering the festival

The festival has five sections: choral, vocal, piano, instrumental and speech & drama. Conditions of entry are set out in the syllabus (click here to download). Entry forms for choral, instrumental, vocal, piano and speech & drama should be submitted to the relevant section secretary together with a stamped addressed envelope and entry fee by 6th October.

We apologise for the gremlins which caused an incorrect date to appear in the calendar in the printed syllabus. There is no speech and drama session on 26th November - it is on 25th November.

Please note that entry to the Woking Young Musician of the Year competition is by invitation from the committee in consultation with the section adjudicators shortly after the Festival.

The awards of Most Promising Young Singer, Junion Musicians of the Year, Most Promising Young Actor of the Year and Chamber Music Award are similarly made by the committee on the adjudicators' recommendations in the light of performances duing the Festival.

Please note the policies regarding child protection and vulnerable persons, and health and safety. These can be downloaded from the link on the left of this page.
